Evangelical minister to speak in Hilo

Evangelical Charismatic Christian minister Jesse Duplantis will be speaking at Glad Tidings Church at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Duplantis became interested in religion after hearing Billy Graham speak about salvation and Jesus.

Based in New Orleans, La., Duplantis Ministries began in 1978. Duplantis uses his music and comic talent in his work.

Glad Tidings Church is located at 113 Kuawa St. in Hilo.


Church welcomes special guests

Hilo Aglow welcomes Semmie and Bob Hollifield from Virginia of the Barnabas Walk Ministry as their special guests. They have ministered on the Big Island for 24 years sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and his resurrection power.

They will attend a service from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday at Haili Congregational Church. The Daughters of God Hula Ministry will be ministering along with Lani Bair leading worship.
